It’s Black History Month and Kmart wants you to help celebrate with the Share the Word program. Through Share the Word, Kmart is encouraging African-American women across the country to honor and nurture their unique beauty from the inside out. Throughout this month, Kmart is offering many ways to show your support and celebrate your individual beauty including ongoing conversations on their social networking sites MyKmart.com and smartshoppersunite.com along with Facebook and Twitter.

In addition, Kmart is bringing celebrity experts in-store to share their insights on beauty and wellness. Steve Harvey, media persona and author of “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” kicked things off in Atlanta last week and spoke on relationship wellness. Throughout the event, Harvey gave away fun prizes and addressed those hot love topics at the top of every woman’s mind. You can check out some great images on Kmart’s Facebook page, too.

On February 27, celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright will speak to beauty as he shares his hair secrets at a Kmart in Chicago (4101 W. 95th Street, Oak Lawn) from noon- 2 p.m. Known for his hair mastery, Wright has a high-profile client list that spans from the runway to the White House!

For more information on what’s going on, check out the Share the Word Web page at kmart.com/sharetheword. And don’t forget to join in on current conversations about health, beauty and wellness on Kmart’s sites, too.

Be sure to share your words. What ways are you embracing your beauty this month?
